Created by a reader, parent and library educator.
As a child, books were my quiet refuge; in middle school, my compass through growing pains. In my teens and college, a constant treasure hunt. And as a new mother holding a tiny baby, a picture book (thank you, Kitten's First Full Moon by Kevin Henkes) became our shared language of connection.
I remember being each of these readers.
That lifelong love has grown into a family collection of 5,000+ books, and the conviction that such deep joy is meant to be shared.
Hi! I'm Neha, a parent and certified Library Educator. I created Lightship to open our collection to your family, through personalised deliveries and, soon, our physical reading room at Shivaji Park, Mumbai.
